Markel Crawford made a HUGE jump, and that's a great sign, seeing as how he's said Tennessee is his favorite.

knowing Nick King is a great scorer/shooter, where do you think we stand right now with him?

he seems to have a list of about 6-8 schools still right now, and tennessee is in that group. if hes favoring anyone of those schools he isnt letting anybody know.

i dont feel great about our chances, but then again our chances are probably just about as good as anyone of those teams. id say somewhere around 10-15%, once some visits start happening should get a better feel.

he seems to be leaning towards waiting to sign later in the year versus november.

thanks for the info, would love to have a great scorer like King playing for the Vols

we're in on a few elite scorers for the 2013 class: king, hubbs, mostella, poole, and thornwell just to name a few are all elite scorers...hopefully we can land atleast one of those guys.

i'd assume out of all seriousness. i feel the same way to be honest.

I wasnt dogging him, I was just curious if it was serious or sarcasm. I get why some are worried, but IMO they shouldn't be.

I'm not worried about his recruitment. When you consider all things, his first 2 classes were acceptable. However, if 2013 isn't a good class then I will begin to worry, but at this point I have no reason to worry.

so by my count we're in on:

8 top 50 recruits, and are in good shape with 5 of them.

12 top 100 recruits, and are in good shape with 7 of them.

17 top 150 recruits, and are in good shape with 11 of them.

this class definitely has the makings to be a great one, very excited.

When you say "good shape," do you think we're the favorite? Which 5?

no not the favorite, but have a good chance of landing them.

the 5 in the top 50 would be:
poole, king, hubbs, thornwell and nichols.

hubbs, thornwell and nichols have had us in their list of top schools for awhile, king has been quiet but we're still in his top group, and poole most thought we were out of, but he recently has expressed interest and said CCM is a guy hed like to play for so...

id say we have a decent chance with all 5. obviously we wont land all 5, and theres a chance we may miss on them all, but currently we sit in pretty good shape (top 5 or so) with all those guys.

Offer each of our top targets a good lease on a new automobile, and we're set.

I would prefer not to have another Hubbs running around.

Get Nichols, one of King/Thornwell/Poole, and Crawford, and this class is a big success.

While that would be a high rated class with a lot of star power, it would leave UT with three front court guys total (2 if Stokes leaves). For this class to be a success they need Nichols and at least one more immediate impact post guy. Otherwise, they are going to be very talented but get abused by any team with a decent front court.
