We have 4 Committed recruits on the new list. (Ambles, Miller, Smith and Willis.) We are in on Elam(14), Dyer (17), Stripling (33), Jones (38), Green (43), Riley (94), Brown (98), and Dixon(100). Not a bad list there were a few others, but I feel we have a better chance at those listed above. My question is the noteable recruits w may be in on that are outside the Top 100.

Losing Gran killed us with alot of these Fl kids.... I think we could have really taken advantage of what is going on down there if he would have stayed. I just hope we can land Green right now....

We have 7 Commits out of the Top 250. I saw Hailes, and Cobbs. Would we try to get back in on those two. Or take a commit from D. Robinson if Green or Stone fell through?

What is his current board status in comparison to Stone, Cullen, Green? Or is the staff still persuing him?

He just doesn't have any interest in Tennessee and really never has. They offered him and would definitely take a commitment from him. Just not going to happen.

I like James a lot more than I do Andrew Norwell (another highly ranked Cincinnati area OL).

So is Stripling and some others, but I put them on because those are guys the staff is still after and may have a chance to turn before signing day.

We need to do something. Its been too quiet for us on the recruiting trail here lately. Is there really some concern regarding that whole BS NCAA investigation thing? I read that basically we may get hit with a couple secondary violations but that was it. So, with this staff, the existing talent we already have, our top of the line first class facilities, one of the largest stadiums in the country with one of the most rabid fan bases anywhere, being in the best conference in the country, the mess at FL, the tv coverage, the better chance at a future NFL draft potential, and the fact that our program is obviously on the rise in the East with plenty of good things to come in the future for anyone associated with us, etc. etc. etc. Why are we not turning them away at this point? They should be coming in droves by this time.

I know I am a homer here, but I really think if I was a talented HS football prospect, I would have a hard time NOT coming to UT. It seems to be a natural and logically smart decision.....

We have a good thing going and recruits now and see this. We have been slow playing some and going hard then slacking off of others. Owens and Jones would be great additions to LB, and maybe Hunter at WR. Get Green to commit, and not tak the USC or UF visits in January would be huge. I think we need 1 good back. I wouldn't want the Jamal Lewis problem to arise again and get caught short in the Backfield. We don't know how Williams will come back, and an injury to Brown or Oku and we're hurting.

Poole seems to be a legit alternative in that situation, IMO. I know we haven't seen him on the field much but, when he has been out there, he has looked better than I would have expected considering his placement on the depth charts. Then again, we are fairly well loaded at RB. We seem to be doing alright at WR, QB, and K after this recruiting class. Really concerned about LB though. I think OL will end up being worked out by NSD but, as far as LB goes, we look to be on the outside looking in for most of the best talent out there and seems like we need to be looking for a few more big, quick CB's/S's also but probably not nearly as glaring with Jackson, Myles Jr., Raines, Evans, et... for next year. It seems like DT/DE will be okay as well.

LB's are our achilles heel this year with all the injuries. I guess we should have a fairly decent stable coming back though at MLB since the injured 2 (Reveiz and Frazier) will be back and Lathers has acquired some excellent experience this year, albeit earlier than he was ready for. He has definitely shown some flashes of potential in the future. Once he can read offenses a little better and keeps up the S&C program, he will develop nicely. Especially with the legendary coaching staff he has to develop him. I wouldnt be surprised to see him as high draft pick after his senior season barring any catastrophic injuries, of course.

It's gonna depend on how well Reviez and Frazier recover and if they can come back and be able to contribute. We still have Lathers ho's playing alot better and looking more comfortable. Askew should have the system down and be ready to challenge in the Spring.
King will be healthy too. He really impressed all season, if he can get healthy, he'll be good. Then we have Taylor who as the Defensive Player of the Game at the UA game. We should have some depth at LB, with Thompson, Nelson and Thorton too. But my concern is DL and CB. If Brown gets in, and if Willis sticks with us, we may be ok. Smith will get coached up, but could very well be on Offense. We have Walls and Hughes at DT. That's it, DE we are set but, we definitely are thin at DT. CB's need an upgrade, we have bodies, but talent wise we need some talented cover corners, or be coached up to play press coverage.
