Funny thing is, all the uniform changes and from HD TV you barely notice. Ahh Tradition....
The "Tradition." People need to define tradition.
How far back does tradition need to go? The people that justify their hate for Vandy and Franklin love to bring up the fact that Neyland was hired to beat Vandy. That was also nearly 100 years ago and those people will also tell you Franklin doesn't matter, yet any mention of him sends this place into a frenzy.
Back on topic, how far back does tradition go? There will be people that say, "Rocky Top is tradition."
I would tend to agree with them, but Rocky Top is only about 45 years old as a song and the POTS have been playing this for 40 years tops.
Now that may seem like a long time to many on here, but keep in mind UT's time honored traditions that go back over 100 years...this is team 117 after all! How can Rocky Top be that important if it has only been around 1/3 of UT football history?
"Traditions" change. See the G&d D&*^(&(PJJLhgGJjgg!!!! Woo in "Traditional" Rocky Top as an example.
A little "strange" (every now and then) in the uniforms ain't a bad thing...once a year or so.
After all, many of UT's "Traditions" aren't that old.
