Totally off topic but how many of y'all steal your kids Halloween candy? It blows my mind how much quality stuff they give out nowadays. I like the Reece's stuff the best.

Go Vols !!

It's not stealing if the governing authorities call it a tax. My kids pay candy tax.

Heh, you guys have to switch from retail to wholesale. I steal entire 2-pound bags full of candy the minute my wife brings them home from the store. She is always amazed how much we give out every year, not even on a really busy street. ;)

Rather than a tax, its actually the bartering system. I barter their candy for Christmas gifts.

Pretty sure sharing candy with paprents is a mandatory requirement of trick-or-treating.

I like the DOTS which my kids hate so its a win win for me

Our kids are grown and on their own, so we have a different system - buy a big bag (or 2) of candy at Sams or Costco, take out what we want, then give the kids who come to the door the rest. Nobody's getting my Snickers, Reeses, Twixts, or a few other things.

haha. My son is three and doesnt like all the candy so I get a lot of this "tried leftovers" but the way I figure.....I had to walk up to all those houses too so I'm entitled to a few pieces :) :)

2 of my 3 children do not like chocolate. So I hit the jackpot every year. My one that does like chocolate always tries to cut a deal to trade and I let him because that way I only go through his bag. He does my dirty work.

I would rob them but one is 28 and the other is 25 and live 30 miles away. I usually buy 2 big bags of our favorites and since we (wife and I) live in the country with not a house in sight, we turn off the porch light to discourage visitors and enjoy.

Now raiding grandkids' candy.

I used to take my daughter out early on Halloween and we would give back out the candy we did not like.

I have a ton of candy left from last week but the small snack sizes do little harm - or so I hope.

Mine give me their Reese's before they even eat anything 😬

My kids had more fun giving out candy than trick or treating. When we ran out around 8:30 my 3 year old offered his to give out.

But of course I dip into their stash.

I figure they're like broken cookies - no calories.
