Coach Kiffin was on CSS last night. When asked about the QB situation, he said that he had been contacted by some QBs who would like to transfer to UT.

The talk is that it is Robert Marve from Miami. Kiffin told him that he would welcome him.

Yeah, I know. I seen the CSS interview and have been thinking about it all night. Seen this rumor on another board and it makes sense.

If I am not mistaking, he transferred from Alabama to Miami, and McElroy transferred from Miami to Alabama. Any scenario where he would not have to sit out??

Makes Crompton look like a male model... yeah off-topic. But heck - I'm sure we could use him.

He's been a Cane from the start. From what little I've seen of him, I wasn't very impressed. With that being said, I haven't seen much.

Reminds me of Boyd in the videos i saw and i seriously doubt he is half as good an athlete as Boyd overall. I don't see it happening.

lol.... 6'1 isn't that big of a deal in CFB. This isn't the NFL... but even then - how does Drew Brees see over his linemen at 6'1?

I agree bassman...don't get hung up on specs. The kid was young as a starter at UM so I can understand him struggling a bit but he has some great talent and I would welcome his presence on the field.

Haven't been able to find anything about Marve transferring, but if he does, UT would probably be a viable option especially if Orgeron comes here. I understand Coach O is a defensive coach, but Marve was one of the prospects singled out in "Meat Market" so he has history with being heavily recruited by Orgeron.

Marve is a physically talented guy, but his decision making isn't too impressive. His quarterbacking style resembles Brent Schaefer's more than it does Matt Leinart's, so I doubt that he is the long term answer that Kiffin is seeking. I'm sure he'd welcome the competition though if Marve really wants to move.
