Anyone heard of this kid from South Pittsburg? I heard that him and his teammate (Weatherspoon) were getting looks from TN and KY.. I couldnt find anything on them on rivals or scout..I talked to a friend and said that Robinson and Weatherspoon were tweener guys that were late bloomers..

Robinson 6-2 215 4.6 forty FB/LB
Weatherspoon 6-0 180 4.4 forty WR

Robert Robinson is a football player. I would love to see him follow in Eddie Moore's foot steps.

I saw Robinson Play 4 or 5 times this year and he is for real. Will run around you or right through you. He does play single A ball, but there wasn't a team in Chatt. area wanting any of South Pittsburgh. Robinson could play at UT....

I seen him play all year. I could see Robinson at UT bein a DB not a HB though. Weatherspoon was also a playmaker that could very well be a impact player. They led that single a team to a state championship also beating 3 2a teams along the way. If they was in that region they would have won it too. So single a or not these 2 players can make an impact.

Well Robinson wouldnt be a DB.. He is 6-2 215 and only runs a 4.6.. I would think if he had the mantality he would have to be a LB or a FB.. As for Weatherspoon, I think grades may be a issue..But the kid can flat out play, and has huge upside..(Legit 4.4 speed and can make many people miss) I saw Raines from Georgia a few years back.. Too me there is no comparison between the 2.. Weatherspoon has way more skill than him..Late bloomer and grades are the only thing holding him back..

I see Robinson playing LB wherever he goes. Would love to see him follow E.Moores footsteps

I'm pretty sure UTPimpin meant that Robert would be LB and not a DB, anybody who has seen him play would know that. Easy mistake

ok the robinson kid who i have seen play all this season is a GOOD ball player not GREAT... okk lets not forget this is the SEC we are talking about.. and to even sat kentucky would be interested i find that hard to believe.. he is not much of a team player. i think he would do well at like the d2 level no higher thoug he has a long way to go. But the weatherspoon kid is electric ted ginn type moves and speed. he has great potential and i think that he could blossom at tennessee. and #2 for the pirates who will be a senior this year is a monster he is running back with good speed and great power look for him next year.

So you are saying Robinson was the third go to guy on the team? Maybe I watched the middle school play and saw a different 24 playing and not Robinson. My bad

Robinson has the build and speed to play D1.. However I dont think he has the mindset to play LB for a D1 school.. Witherspoon is very very raw with TONS of speed and agility..If we could get him, redshirt and put some weight on him he could seriously play for us down the road.. Im jut not sure about his grades..

I remember a guy like this from South Pittsburg...Eddie Moore...that turned out pretty well for us

this is crazy talk robinson is not very fast at all and yes if it were my team he might of been my fourth choice if he would block when he isnt running the ball. my first would be the playmaker weatherspoon second jones third mitchell and fourth robinson the first three just have more will and determination to make everybody else around them better as well as themselves and that good for a teams morale.

A single A school that would smoke alot of schools in higher classes. Being from Sequatchie Co. the smoking of Jasper was good!!!!

I don't think the team in the state championship thought that Robinson was slow. I was told that he had grade problems and probably would not get any offers.

His grades are very good.. That will not be the problem.. I just think he is a tweener... Not really good enough with his hips, agility, and overall speed to play D-1 runningback..I also dont think he has the mindset to play Fullback or LB..So thats why I think he will prob. go D-11 somewhere...We serious should sign and place Witherspoon in Juco ro Prep... I think he could be a diamond in the rough..

I don't know about the "very good" grades part. But I agree with you on the rest.
