Butch is his favorite hire out of ALL new coaches. He said Jones pays great attention to detail and getting the most out of the talent. He said we have been very talented,but poorly coached. The other guy said Bret Beliema at Arkansas. Go Vols!

Well Robert Smith is MY favorite analyst on ESPN. He always has been, this has nothing to do with the fact that he's praising the coach of my team. You can believe me because I said it on the Internet.

Robert Smith has always been very supportive of UT,but Mark May is my favorite analyst,by far. And it IS because he backs UT so much. He picked us as his dark horse candidate to win the NC in 2008!!!! yeah,before we lost to Ucla and even Wyoming. Go Vols!!

I believe we are going to shock the nation with how much we improve. We have great talent;we`ve just been coached by idiots. Butch is a lot like Miles. I remember watching him at CMU and being very impressed with his aggressive,unorthodox play-calling. He reminds me of Les Miles. He will not let this team implode when we make a mistake in a game or lose. He is going to be great. Go Vols!!

Beliema was the safest hire in terms of fielding a team that will win more games than lose. Despite the fact that his teams can score 70-80 points by running the ball up the middle, he did lose 5 games in a mediocre Big Ten.

Butch has the highest upside, but there is still some unknown. He didn't luck into this job. He's got a system and plan that got him this far, now we'll see if it's truly infallible.

People don't understand the significance of his statement

Robert Smith rarely says anything positive about UT.

For him to say this had to pain him deeply

I think Coach Jones will do far better in this league than Bielema out at Arkansas. It won't take long for him to realize that Arkansas isn't in the Big 10 and that his style of football won't work. CBJ is the real deal, just not the glamorous hire everyone wanted.

A power running game and a brick wall defense is what works for Bama. They are going to be a lot closer to that than we are. We are going to see if Oregon's offense will work in SEC.
