Having AIDS, yeah, but I'd be interested to hear if it's possible for the virus to not have an affect on someone for 20 years. Basically I question if he was raped by a roaming Mexican duo in '87 or if he contracted it later, by some other method.

That could be true, but Magic has stated he doesn't even know when he contracted HIV, so he could have gotten it months before he announced it. Alomar's claiming he unknowingly had it for nearly 20 years. It's a lot easier believing someone can live with the virus with the best meds money can buy than someone who simply unknowingly lives with it.

Robbie was pretty well past his prime when his numbers fell off the table. Could have simply been the natural progression of a career. The collapse of a player often comes abruptly. See Jackson, Reggie.
