Nice list. The Metallica is right on the money. I hate the new Metallica stuff. I call them Selloutica. Very nice list though Volatile. U still suck though.

I know the ages range pretty much from one extreme to another on here, but I grew up with bands like Def Leppard, The Crue, etc and that's what I still listen to today. Not sure I can really make a list, it just depends on my mood as to what I'm listening to at the time. There for a while music was just really terrible, and I quit listening to anything new... some of Buckcherry's stuff reminds me of that time in music. Papa Roach has really surprised me from what I've heard lately... I will say rock music seems to be getting better (and new and old rock is popular again, even without MTV). You'd be surprised how many 15 year olds listen to GNR and Def Lep these days.

By the way, supposedly Metallica is reverting back to their "roots" on their new album. They better be, cause they have sucked for quite awhile now. St. Anger was terrible.

I'll believe it when I hear it. They have not had a good song since the Black album.

Digging 10 Years, Chevelle, Evans Blue, Disturbed, Shinedown, Tantric. . . .and a number of bands that I have heard recently on Sirius Octane. They had the top-20 of the year on today and there were some great songs from bands I don't really know (Cinder Road, Black Water Rising, Thousand Foot Crutch, Five Finger Death Punch).

When I'm in the mood for extra heavy, Bullet for My Valentine and Killswitch Engage are cool.

I'm still a sucker for the heavy stuff of yesteryear: Metallica, Rage, Korn, Tool, old Alice in Chains, Sepultura, old Soundgarden, Helmet.

Anybody heard the new Silverchair? Honestly, I still listen to Frogstomp on a regular basis. Those guys were like 18 then, if I remember right. Great album.

I love FFDP's "The Bleeding," but I think I wasted money on the rest of the album. The acoustic version of that song is the best acoustic song I have ever heard, though.

I just added a new band to my current favorites, Nightwish... I can't describe them, melodic and awesome.

I'm just glad to hear songs with guitar solos in them. I'm listening to Anthrax right now. I heard Pantera's version of Cat Scratch Fever recently... I had forgotten all about it.

LOL... while reading that post, I confused Anthrax with Judas Priest... I can't stand Halford.

No, actually pro-"they can do whatever they want." Ask CBC or see the thread about Lil Wayne playing the guitar... LOL.

I know, I'm just messing with you... I like some of their stuff, once again they're not my fav or anything.
