I know this is probably not the best time to ask considering spring football and all the tidbits regarding CCM, but does anyone know if we will still be running the Pilot Rocky Top League this summer? I sure hope so, that is such a great atmosphere and some of the best free entertainment I've ever experienced outside of a bed or back seat of a car...

Interesting comparison! I was wondering the same thing myself. No one has said anything. I would hope so because this is great for the community and for the bball program. Does anyone else in the NCAA do these types of summer basketball leagues? It's got to be a good selling point for recruits.

There are a lot of summer leagues but I'm not sure which "schools" have them and which do not. I bet there is a good one near Durham though!

We'll have a better team if they ditch the RTL and go overseas for a trip.

I believe they can only go overseas once every four years if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure when the last trip was though.

I played in the RTL during the first two years before I graduated, and I would say the decision is Andre Whitehead's. Andre runs the league, and there are numerous Pro-Am leagues like it across the country. A particular school doesn't organize a league and has no affiliation with the league. They are NCAA certified, and the majority of them are located in popular basketball areas. And, yes the S.J.G Greater NC Pro-Am league is held in Durham.

3 years ago we went overseas. This doesn't conflict with the RTL anyway as when we went overseas last time was the inaugeral season of the RTL and the RTL concludes in June and we went overseas in July IIRC.

Dead 3,

That is precisely why I put "schools" in quotes as they are NCAA certified, but not in any way affiliated with the school.
