Didnt know that he is the half brother of M. Johnson. He is a WR and I believe in the Tennessee top 10 recruits. WR isnt a big position for us to recruit this year but I wonder if we take him if he wants to come to UT.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Look for other schools to become players in his recruiting if he doesn't commit before the halfway point this season. UT and FL are his leaders and he was all but committed to UT last year after the state title game. If he comes to UT, it won't be easy to get him.

He either wants to play with his brother or compete against him.My guess would be if Marsalous Johnson (who happenend to be at state championship game on the sidelines last year, and Cutcliffe was in pressbox) gets to play a lot, it will be tempting to go to UT.He goes to all of the UT games normally.I also think if UT has another offseason,it will be bye-bye Rod.

Saw a couple Wilkes posts on other issues. What did he do last year? Redshirt maybe?? Cannot remember his name being called much.

It's a huge conspiracy. Fulmer was actually ready to retire so he didn't use him because if he would have played we would have won the NC.

What's the deal? We aren't allowed to make Rod Wilks jokes anymore?

Darn Gators get to have all the fun.

On a serious tick, Kiffin has had noted success with big WRs. How much weight has Rod gained in the switch to the other side of the ball? Will he get a look back at wr now? This should be fun.

Joking aside, I was excited when he signed. I guess he moved to LB. Just saw his name on another thread and wanted to know what was up. Did not know he moved to defense.

He was destroying every ball he caught on offense. The equipment manager started to complain so they moved him. :)

Even the great Eric Berry was scared of Rod Wilkes. Rumor is, he asked for Wilkes to be switched to defense for this reason.

If Eric Berry had to read to retain information I would say you better hope he doesn't read this. Unfortunately this is not so.

Sorry . . . the posts got deleted under the idiotic notion that it's remotely possible to talk seriously about Rod Wilkes around here. Clearly a huge error in judgement on my part. :)

You'd be better off trying to get lightning in a bottle...
