DEFENSIVE LINE
i
Roman Harrison, DE, Tennessee
  • Harrison finished with career highs in tackles for loss (2.5) and sacks (2.0) to go along with four total tackles and a quarterback hurry as Tennessee shutout Vanderbilt, 56-0, for its first 10-win regular season since 2003.
  • The Vols posted their second shutout of the Josh Heupel era, and UT recorded its first shutout in an SEC game since blanking Vanderbilt, 48-0, on Nov. 22, 2003

Expected so much more from Roman when we got him out of high school. He was already built better than many 3-4 year college players. Better late than never I guess.

There was a player #42 named "West" I think on D at the end of the game that was amazing! Dude is a force in the middle.

Tyre West. I was glad to see him out there too. He even got in on an offensive play when we ran Fant. I think we flipped him from someone else in last year’s recruiting class. We have a lot of good, young talent on D line with more coming in. I think with this current class of incoming DB’s, this defense could really be something special in the 2024 season.

Edit: We recruited West away from FSU. He’s a south Ga product.

I gave it a like, but don't know why we have to wait untIl your 2024 season, instead of 2023.

With what we have coming in on DL and couple that with the Freshmen who played this, we are going to be lit on Defense soon!

Well, could be 2023, but our upperclassmen in the secondary better improve greatly between now and next September. Was focusing on 2024 thinking all of our incoming 4* DBs will enter that season with a full year in the program under their belt and fully mesh with our D line/front 7.
