Romney has a connection problem. But I wouldn't describe him as a dork. Artificial and white collar is my vote.

will reserve judgement until after I've seen if whether or not Romney can throw a baseball from the pitcher's mound to home plate

extra points if he's not wearing granny jeans

There was an article out there the other day about how he does wear mom jeans. Obama is a terrible dresser.

Fair enough. I guess I equate the dork label with artificial.

Remember when he sang? Good grief, that failed miserably.

This is sheer stupidity. Anyone casting a vote for the person that they believe has the maturity, intellect, responsibility, and understanding to lead the Executive Branch of the United States should not even concern themselves with whether or not said person appears "cool" or "dorky". Pure, political jackassery.

No longer a fight to see who can run the country but be cool while in office. But those candidates who connect with the "people" during the election do have a better shot at getting the younger votes.

Oh, don't misunderstand. I could not care less, personally.

I vote for the person I think will do the best job. I will never meet either of them, so it makes no difference to me.

I do think, however, it matters to those paying less attention, who are less motivated by or interested in politics than us here on this forum, all of whom have strongly held opinions.

The truth is that those on the left and the right have made up their minds. Its the people not even paying attention right now that will decide the election. And they will decide in the last month or so, based on the economy and their personal situations, and things like the debates and commercials.

Romney will have probably have a leg up on commercials with the Super PAC money from the Koch brothers. Obama will have a leg up in the debates because, when they are put side by side and speak, Romney just cannot compete.

? That election was about rejection of austerity measures on the poor and middle class versus placing the burden on big business and the wealthy, not popularity.

Which is why universal suffrage fails. Honestly, no non-elected officials in the United States should be voting for the POTUS. Unfortunately, populist politicians discarded that mechanism in the early 19th Century. Now, we seem to always be left with choosing between stooges and rubes.
