And put even more money in the pockets of the rich, while not decreasing the debt, according to non-partisan tax watchdog group.

Meanwhile, Obama wants to continue the Bush tax cut for 98 percent of the country, and ask top 2 percent to pay more. House won't even take it up, of course.

Answers the question posted elsewhere about who connects better with the struggling middle class.

it's a report based on best guesses of an incomplete plan. Color me shocked you're all on this when it's already been done by the guy you voted for

Study: Romney-like tax plan would help rich, raise taxes for poor, middle class | August 2, 2012 | The New York Times | HT Politics

The researchers did not analyze the exact Romney plan, since it is incomplete and the researchers were reluctant to make assumptions until the campaign released more details.

Instead they created a model for a revenue-neutral income tax change that incorporates some of Mr. Romney’s proposals, which include lowering marginal tax rates, eliminating both the alternative minimum tax and taxation of investment income of most taxpayers, doing away with the estate tax and repealing the additional high-income taxes passed with the Affordable Care Act.

8.2% Unemployment, 16 Trillion in debt, and 90 Million US adults not working

Under Romney no improvement in employment numbers, but the distance between the 99 and the 1 gets bigger and bigger. And the debt goes up, up, up.

BS we wont get an improvement. Obamacare is an anchor on hiring, Increasing taxes is an anchor. Face it Obama has harmed the economy and has no plan to improve it

Is Obama still planning on cutting the deficit in half by the end of his first term? Or did he lie to us?

Romney does not increase employment in the future? Please explain how you know this. It is good to hear though that Romney wins.

Senate won't take up the house bill.

There was bipartisan support against the Senate bill and bipartisan support for the House bill. Which one seems to be more balanced?

Considering that there is basically universal agreement to extend the tax cuts for the 98 percent, why not pass that right now and then we can debate that last 2 percent?

Hmmmmmmm ???????

Would make so many people so happy:

Why not extend them all since even Obama claimed raising taxes during a fragile economy is a bad idea and estimates are his plan will cost 700K jobs?

If your idea is so good why did Dems in both the House and Sentate defect and go for the extend them all plans - which I repeat had bipartisan support.

Actually, I'm in favor of extending them all. But then again I'm in favor of sequestration of the department budgets, including defense.

Are you?

I'm in favor of cutting everything including defense - not sure the sequestration approach is the right way to do it; probably will tank the economy but if you are asking if I'm advocating cutting defense spending then the answer is an unequivocal yes.

I'm also only for a temp extension of the tax cuts until major reform can be accomplished along the lines of the Debt Commission.
