I don't think he convinced who he was speaking to. But he did manage to make a speech that the Muslims in this country would love. He also seemed to contradict himself on one hand saying he'd stand on his religious beliefs and then on the other saying there was no role for religion in his decisions running the country. Mixed bag. At the end of the day he probably rallies his supporters but distanced himself from the ones he was trying to appeal to.

I will be searching for a link to see what he had to say. But just going by what I've seen of Romney so far, I would assume that there was a lot of vanilla in his statement.
but Kennedy was the frontrunner and had piles of ill begotten cash behind him, none of which was earned by him. Romney actually earned some of his money and was never a viable candidate in this election.
