Wouldn't mind him on the ballot. Certainly would prefer him over Obama and a plethora of other GOP options.

It would be refreshing to have someone on the ballot that tells you what they actually believe rather than the talking points that have been polling well.

Serious question, I don't follow politics that much, but I really agree with Ron Paul on many of his views.. but why does it seem such a longshot for him to get the republican nomination?

Like what does he lack?

I could be wrong - But I think many people think he is too rigid. He also isn't the 'sexy' choice.

Which is hilarious considering the one thing he is 'rigid' on is liberty and saying 'no' to laws that trample on liberty.

The left will have you believe that he is a "nut job" because he actually wants to ::GASP:: end regulations and cut taxes. Wow, so crazy!

Anyone wanting to get rid of the fed and go back to the gold standard is too stupid and dangerous to be president

We need a president who can put competent people in at the Fed.

wont ever happen.

Probably not. But this would be like electing gsvol president. He has that crazy ass look too and every fed meeting asks about the gold thing instead of something relevant

I like Ron Paul. Does he actually advocate returning to the gold standard, or using that as a secondary option for those that want gold backed options?

He not only advocates it, but is rather condesending about it.
