Ross Kivett to Houston

I will defend Ross on that. The full video would show a somewhat different set of circumstances. he did not get ejected for throwing his papers. He was ejected by the third base umpire for questioning balls and strikes and then when he was thrown he threw his papers. I can guarantee for most UT fans in the stands at that point, they would have done the same thing.

The tv coverage actually confirmed this. When they showed the replay of him throwing the notebook on the field, they said that he had already been ejected at that point.

Ben McDonald was actually tough on the umpires, saying that this was an elimination game and that the umps need to let some emotions go. I agree. I have watched a bunch of college this year and can't believe how soft the college umps are.

I agree with Preacherman. I am a very mild mannered person. All of my co-workers think I have great patience (notice I didn't say my wife). However, most everyone has a breaking point and I have had meltdowns. I got pretty animated during the Regional and Supers (sports meltdowns don't count) but at least I was a voice in the crowd. I cannot imagine in a pressure situation like that where every pitch counts that opinions get increasing loud and it is not unexpected that sometimes the mouth outpaces the mind. Very sorry to lose Ross and I wish him the best. No doubt that was an historic Vol baseball moment.

@txbo . . . Hi, I am Matt Bragga, what kind of car do you want to give me? I can be there in a few minutes to pick it up!

GBO

BTW...Rice replaced Bragga with Jose Cruz, Jr. He's never coached a day of college baseball in his life.

WOW . . . Cruz was a solid MLB player . . . wasn't he a base or bench coach for a MLB team for a bit?? Regardless, this is a stretch in my opinion - no recruiting experience, limited assistant pay, limited schooly money (though this may not effect Rice, much like Vandy), etc.

Oh, and you didn't say what kind of car or what time to pick it up!! LMAO

EDIT: Tony Gwynn made the transition . . . not impossible.
