After a very successful year on Rocky Top across athletics, we’re still one of only 4 current SEC member schools to not have a national championship in one of the 3 major men’s sports in the last 15 years. That is on track to change sooner than later but it’s a sobering reminder of how bad the last 15 years were in a conference that is built on championships across those sports:

East Division:
Florida: 2 (baseball-2017; football-2008)
Georgia: 2 (football-2021,2022)
Kentucky: 1 (basketball-2012)
Mizzou: 0
South Carolina: 2 (baseball 2010, 2011)
Good Guys: 0
Vandy: 2 (baseball 2014,2019)

West Division:
Evil Empire: 6 (football 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020)
Arkansas: 0
Auburn: 1 (football 2010)
LSU: 2 (baseball-2017; football-2019)
Miss St: 1 (baseball-2021)
Ole Miss: 1 (baseball-2022)
TX A&M: 0

So aggie, pig, mo, and us. Three of those schools have a decent chance to snag one soon, pig and us in particular.

Let’s go back 20 years so we can include those back-to-back hoops titles. 😎
Florida/LSU/Auburn and probably some others would have additional titles. I just chose the last 15 years because that’s recent history and really the high water mark in terms of the conference being dominant in all 3 sports (UF basketball during that period notwithstanding). Almost all member schools are putting huge investments in all major men’s sports now, with the evidence of the success in doing so evidenced above, so I wanted the stats to be roughly in that period of investment.

Ah, the SEC is at least going to have 3 national championships in baseball in a row. The SEC looks to be heating up on the baseball side of thing's. It could be worse.

Make that 4.... I forgot about Vanderbilt. Easily done lol

Would be interested in seeing the number of SEC Championships (Regular and Tournament) during that timespan.
Basketball and baseball have gone above and beyond relative to history with regard to in conference championships in that period. Full credit where due there. You can throw in tourney appearances for basketball and regionals/supers/Omaha for basevols.

How? We were objectively the worst performing program relative to capability and history in that period. Even the basement dwellers of the conference have multiple championships.
When you read the thread title you could take “rough” to mean “approximate” as opposed to meaning “bad”
