Yesterday ESPN was reporting the Phills were trying to get him. I'd rether him go to the Cards. Don't know how they will be able to afford him next year though.

Talks hit a snag when the Phils weren't willing to pick up his option in 2012.

Oswalt has said he's willign to restructure it to go to St. Louis.

DeWitt has said he's willing to take on the payroll.

The relationship between Houston and St. Louis is better than that of Houston and Philly, but I would still be suprised if this happened.

I expect him to be a Philly.

I would not blame him for that if I knew that to be true.

I think he, like most pro athletes, will make exceptions for more money.

The articles I have read have said he's willing to restructure his contract to play in St. Louis. True or not - I do not know.

Hope that's true. Less competition for the Braves to win the division. Perfect scenario: He stays in H-Town and then they don't have to go through him for the pennant.

J.A. Happ, Anthony Grose, and perhaps Vance Worley for Oswalt.

Atleast that's what the media is reporting.

Gose was sent to the Blue Jays for Brett Wallace.

JA Happ, Brett Wallace, and Vance Worley for Roy Oswalt is a pretty dang good haul for the Astros if you ask me. And I'm not even a big Happ guy.

It doesn't seem like an awful haul for Oswalt, but you have to wonder why no one wants to hang onto Wallace. This is his 4th team in a little more than 2.5 years.

I wish the Braves would make a move for him. We need more pitching but they don't spend like they once did..

Roy's still solid.

But his better years are beyond him. Plus, the Braves need another bat.
