Royce White leaving college hoops amid legal woes - ESPN
I know some will freak out about the possibility of bringing someone in as a transfer who has done anything wrong.
I'm not saying he has said anything about UT, but this kid is from Minn, might want to get out of the Big-10, and just happens to fit exactly what we need to fill-out our class -- a big forward. Rivals #19 player in the nation in 2009 who needs a fresh start somewhere.
Now that he has left Minn in December, he would likely be eligible in January of 2011.
He certainly bears watching.
Edit: More information -- White was cited for shoplifting in October (similar to the Oliver incident with our football team, except White was accused of shoving a security guard; he's lucky that Mall Security guard wasn't Ronnie). Anyway, this latest incident is an investigation into the theft of a laptop. If they find that White was involved, I don't think the Vols or any sane program should take a chance on the kid. I'm in favor of giving a kid a second chance, but if there is a pattern here, pass.
