Rudest Band in the Land

When Cornwallis surrender to Washington at Yorktown, ending the Revolutionary war. The British Band (wearing red ironically), played “The World Turned Upside Down”. I think the Million Dollar Band needs to learn that tune

I was thinking the same thing. I was very surprised - I kept waiting for them to turn around and finish the show. Our band played to the home side at LSU - it is what you do.

you know, a lot of UT fans sit on the east side, too? West side gets band playing their direction every game. So you complain about the visiting band playing towards the visiting/east side?

Oh, Million Dollar Band, I always thought they were talking about the football team. Didn't listen closely.
Wait till the Million Dollar Band gets a load of our Eight Million Dollar QB here in a year or two 😉 (I think Milton is the started in 2023)

I think I need to read up on my band etiquette. In any case, they can’t touch the best damn band in the land, and we all know who that title belongs to.

My buddy who was at the game with me and is not a fan of either TN or Bama said after the show “ the Alabama band is an insult to people who play instruments”

Always known them as the park and bark band.
They never seem to play and move at the same time. Watch the Pride’s show, it’s almost constant motion.
They are genuinely the worst band I've seen in Neyland. They were quiet to have such a massive band. And you're right, they're not a marching band, they're just a Standing Band.

I’m usually in the bathroom during halftime and don’t pay attention to the bands

They used to have a good band, it's pretty dumb that they can't get one together with all their athletic budget. Circle Drill is usually one of the two big shows our band puts together for road trips, because we can use multiple weeks to rehearse. The other home games have much simpler drill but the music is always new.

I wasn't offended that they only played to the one side. I thought they just a mediocre band. There was no imagination or difficulty factor to what they did. And when they left the field they just all strolled off in a disorganized mass. The Pride leaves the field in a crisp marching mode, the way a band should.

Shame they had to sit through that hours long celebration after. Really makes you pity them.

POTS also learns and plays the visiting team’s song when they are in Neyland, I always loved that tradition
