Rumor Mill - Sadler to RCR?

The latest product spit out of the ole Rumor Mill has Elliot Sadler moving to Richard Childress Racing, vacating his seat at Richard Petty Motorsports.

Who would be getting the boot from RCR to make room for Sadler? It is no secret Kevin Harvick is not a happy camper in the 29 car, but this rumor points to the 07 car of Casey Mears. If you go by results, the 07 car makes more sense.


RCR is arguably the largest disappointment in NASCAR in 2009, based on the success of 2008. If true, could it be the last stop for Mears? He has shown little to get another team owner's interest. Stay tuned to the Silly Season Network.

Honestly, I don't think Sadler is much of an upgrade over Mears. I don't see either guy lasting much longer when you have guys like Keselowski coming in every year getting a ride.

That's another rumer. At first glance it would seem a bad move, but who does he replace before at least two years at HMS? He can go full time Cup at Penske by replacing Stremme.

It looks like the 12 car would be Brad's best option for next year.

I would rather have Jamie Mac than Sadler too. Dale Jarrett said the #1 car was a possibility for him but i thought he was sliding over to a Yates car.

Jamie has the option to go where he wants if he can find another ride. If not they told him he still had the option to move over to Yates.

I can't see childress replacing Mears just yet. Didn't he sign a 5yr deal? I think thats what was reported. They only have enough full time sponsorship for 3 cars next year. I wonder if Shell/Penzoil has an out if Kevin leaves and that's why Childress is so adamant about keeping him.

Keep in mind, this was at the beginning of the season.

There's also a rumor that, Jack Daniels is pulling their sponsorship at the end of the season.

yeah, JD is supposed to be gone. Not sure if they are going to another car or if they just don't want to pay the big bucks to be a primary sponsor.
