Well well, recruiting is in full swing and it looks pretty good for us this year. We have several top RBs and APBs comin our way.....who thinks Riggs or Yancy start??? im actually partial to Yancy but i would like UT to work with some kind of system like USC. it creates a much more versatile offense and throws defenses of guard...

Riggs and Yancy probably 1 and 2 going in to next fall. Arian Foster could end up being the best RB in the stable by next season's end. Also, the kid from Nashville that has verbally committed looks like the REAL THING. We oughta be good at RB, QB, WR for several years. Lets hope we can develope some depth on the OL.

Yep, that's why I haven't been really disappointed this year because we're young, and the next couple years should be great.

That would be nice, as would a defense that could hold Vandy and Kentucky to fewer than 60 points next time around. :bad:

Vol's have large stable of capable backs next year-

Riggs
Yancey
JaKouri Williams
Arian Foster

I think we are OK

I know we have capable back...but we need some sort of an explosive runner.

LaMarcus Coker may be the fastest running back prospect in the nation- this guy has 4.3 speed

Jakouri Williams is also very fast I believe he runs a 4.45

there have been reports the coker might pull out for Auburn or Georgia

coker is all vol, he committed early for a reason

he was on countdown to signing day about a month ago, this guy is very strong vol commit

I could see Coker maybe ditching us for Auburn, but not UGA. Georgia already has some good freshman running around. Looks like we will have to deal with Brown and Ware for a while! I love that picture of Pollack and Greene JSB! That is a funny one!

Maybe we can do better than 5.8 and 5.0 per carry? Geez, I thought Barry Sanders had used up his college eligibility.

:bash:

Bham has a good point. Our avg per carry this year has been fairly high.

JSB, hilarious picture. If you were to pan down a little bit you might find Trev Alberts.......

I will think that is Highly unlikely also, He committed as a junior. He has been a vol fan for a very long time. If I am not mistaken it was his childwood dream to play for Tennessee, unlike Williams.

That's funny. I knew Trev would be good for something!

On a serious note, yeah, how can you knock our YPC this year, especially given the injuries to the O-line?

Yards Per Carry, SEC Running Backs 2004

1. Addai, LSU, 7.3
2. Hudson, Alabama, 6.9
3. Brown, Auburn, 6.5
4. Broussard, LSU, 5.9
5. Houston, UT, 5.8

10. Riggs, UT, 5.0

As you can see, there's some pretty good backs that did not crack the top 5. In fact, BOTH of our guys are ahead of Cadillac, Darby, and BOTH of Georgia's backs.
