With all the rain that's coming, I'm betting on 50+ carries. There will be plenty for everybody.

I look for Riggs to step up and make a big impression.

How about a big impression in the middle of Channing Crowder's chest?

I don't care if Davis only gets 1 yard if he can score 3 TDs a la Jerome Bettis last week in the NFL.

 What ever works!

ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would bet on Houston. Riggs is probably a better runner, but he's had a little trouble holding onto the ball in the past, and that scares the hell out of me, with the weather and all.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Schaeffer as the leading rusher, but picked Larkins. The only way Riggs will lead all carriers will be if they duct tape the ball to his hands or shove it .......well, you get the idea. Riggs is my only concern due to the weather because he doesn't seem to be able to hang on to the ball when it's dry.

We were right about 2 things. Who would lead the team in yds and that Davis would find the endzone. Nice job men and women. :good:

Riggs 15 Att, 63 Yds
Houston 9 Att, 59 Yds
Shaeffer 7 Att, 44 Yds
Larkins 4 Att, 14 Yds
Davis 6 Att, 11 Yds
Ainge 2 Att, 1 Yd
Tinsley 1 Att, 0 Yds

This team is definitely a "by committee" team - 2 qbs, 5 rbs all making quality contributions , and so many Wrs I cann't keep up with them all..... I just hope the D can plug the holes .

Houston seemed to me to get a few BIG runs but then get stopped for no-gain. That is really what he's done his whole career to push his career yardage up so high, but come up short in big situations and even sometimes in big games.

However, Riggs seemed to me to consistantly make yards on every carry without breaking a long one.

IMHO, I would rather have the consistant back that makes yards every time than one who will make a 10-yarder then a no-gainer. I want a back who I can trust will make the yards on 3rd down... and I think Riggs is the one who can do that on a more consistant basis. And, if Riggs starts breaking some long one, like we know he's capable of, then he'll actually look better statistically than Houston. Not to say that Houston is not playing great... I still think Riggs is better.

I just have to look at the stats and what i have seen. Riggs hasn't shown me enough but Houston shows his ability everytime out.

If he could only get 100%, then we would see him shine. I think we all have to remember he is far from 100% and still is a explosive back.

I would rather have Ced if he could just get healthy. :twocents:

I think the Vols have 2 great RBs... actually 4. I also think, however, that Riggs will end up leading the Vols in rushing this season.
