I know that I sure take all of my cues on the future of the country from the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Don't start my morning without checking in with what they have to say.

When asked who would replace the U.S. in regulating world markets, he said: "Two countries could assume this role: China, with its vast reserves, and Russia, which could play the role of a regulator in Eurasia."

interesting since I just got done re-reading 1984. Some of the things he says just don't make a whole lot of sense

This is the problem with analyzing foreign countries. You can make up fantastical scenarios and be dead wrong since you do not know the will/mentality of the people. The US is going to decline because it is feeding upon itself but it won't break up into smaller regions. I find it funny this guy did not look to his own country first before making this prediction.

I'd be for letting them become their own country.

Every weird thing that comes down the pipe starts out there and gets adopted by the Feds.......Do the states even have any power anymore?

Enough of that, I thought I was typing about football, how the shite did I end up here....oh it was the new posts button.

Sorry for the commercial, the rest of you keep on typing what you were typing about. :hi:

I liked his analysis on the "growing Chinese population" on the west coast, and the "large native American population" in the midwestern states... They are both tiny minorities, fully integrated into American society.

I think you guys missed joevol's point, which is that even the Russian prof says Obama won't deliver and that we are doomed.

He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored several books on information warfare.
Trident subs could unleash "Sherwood Forest" too.
