I find it funny how college fans get bent out of shape over things that happened way before they were born. Do we really care about NC's from 70+ years ago? It's not just Banners but generally all college fans (especially in the South!)

Regardless of which number is official, it's significantly more than Kanell's Seminoles'. I don't know why he gets so bent out of shape over the SEC hoopla.

During the CFP Championship post-game show, Kanell looked like he had been force-fed chalk.

Many talking heads make a living trolling certain fanbases. Kanell seems to have a genuine hatred for the SEC that goes beyond a ratings grab.

He took runs at UGA, Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU this year. He was also killing Tennessee after the Arkansas loss.

He spent more time on Bama, but that's because Bama was more frequently a topic of discussion.

I think Kanell's hatred for the SEC comes from him thinking that the SEC started the "who's the conference" talk. He just doesn't believe that the strength of a conference matters and that what matters is the best team. So he likes to poke at little fun at the SEC whenever he can bc he thinks the "better conference" talk is all a joke. With that said, I think the helmet switch was fantastic bc it poked fun at the Bamers who probably do count 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 championships too many

If consensus since 1950 is the measurement that we should ascribe to Bama, then it applies to us as well and we have 2. I like claiming 6 instead, so I'll let Bama claim their's as well.

True. He hates the SEC. Period. Just mentions Bama more because they are dominating football. Although I am not a big fan of Alabama I will give credit where it's due. They are definitely the best team right now. Hopefully changing soon! Go Vols!!

You really have to ask that question on this board? There's folks on here still mad about the Civil War muchless the 1938 National Championship......which, dadgummit, Tennessee should have won outright!!:furious3:
