Sorry tried posting this first in recruiting forum. Only had one response in 24 hours. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First time posting or really anything other than keeping myself up to date on TN football. I do not get to make to many games but, usually I get tickets to RV at the civic center but, it is SOLD OUT! Last minute decision to go this weekend for AL so, my own fault. I was hoping someone could give me an idea of other areas to park for a couple of nights. I can take hook up or can run on generator and tanks for a few days.

I just want to be close to the action and fellow fans. We enjoy Tailgating and meeting other people. We have a 38ft (ish) toy hauler. so I can drop it and use the SxS for transportation. That's all the space I need. I am not familiar with names of areas so, I will either need to be able to google it or have directions. I am ok paying for a few parking places, if their is campsite close by, parking garage, anything near a TN crowd would be perfect.

Thanks in advance for the help! More importantly let's break this MFn streak (hope that is ok).

PS. Thank you to all of you guys/girls that post so regularly that keeps me up to speed and entertained!

For the Oregon game I stayed down by the river before you get to TBA at the Ready Mix cement plant that got turned into @ a 10ac RV park. Bunch of big RVs like yours. Mine was 35' motorhome and many were that size or more. My back bedroom window was literally 10' from the water. $35 or $40/night in those days iirc.
Great time hanging out on Fri PM and wake up late cook out and go up to the 4 or 5pm (?) kickoff. Came a dang monsoon that night and its a wonder the TN river didn't sweep the place away. Stayed over Sat PM and just comfortable rolled out Sunday AM to no traffic. My family loved it.
There is also another permanent RV park up the hill from there more into the campus next to soccer fields(?). All paved and probably reserved w full hookups. But your TH can prob go dry camp no problem.

Do you make reservations or is it first come first serve? If reservations what’s it called or site please? Thank you for this!

If memory serves me correctly, I just drove up the day before the game and looked for a place to park anywhere. Of course my motorhome had generator and was self-contained, so it could be parked just about anywhere for 2 days. I just happened to run across that RV Park at the cement plant and went for it. I have no idea if they are still doing that or not?

unfortunately mines a bumper pull but, but I can easily dry camp for a few days. It’s just more of a pain to lug around. I think I am going to go for it though unless someone responds it no longer exist of course. Thank you for the 411 :)

Don't know if there's one around but check casinos. They usually have overflow parking that semis park in and usually allow rv's. The ones in minn are usually free or $10 per night. No hookups, strictly boon docking.....

Just bought an RV and plan on doing some camping/tailgating close to Neyland myself. Probably not this year but I do plan on renting the RV out to help pay for it starting maybe next month. 3 day weekends would be a blast to be in the Smokies and close to the football action.

I have a friend that rents his and he stays booked!

I am not going to take my RV to the Bama game, and my spot is available. It's atop the civic Auditoriums parking deck B and has electric hook ups.

Its $200 from Thursday pm until Sunday.

Going once.......

Smiling .... Renting the RV is my retirement supplemental income so I like your response! Had planned on retiring at 65 for the medical benefits but if all goes well, I'll be 64 in 6 months and maybe cut a year off and retire earlier. ;)
