Hit 2 more homeruns tonight to put his season total at 56. Also has 138 RBI and is batting a nifty .311... anyway he DOESN'T win the MVP whether the Phillies make the playoffs or not?

The most ridiculous thing about that 56 total is he only hit 5 HRs in April.

It'll be interesting to see fan reaction if he gets to 62.

There is all that talk about him being the "clean" homerun king... but really, who knows?

He'd almost have to get injured and or abducted not to get to 62 at this rate.

The record is 73 I think by Bonds. But 61 is the number Roger Maris hit that was always the unreachable number until McGwire and Sosa shredded the record.

Only 18 away...it's possible.

I hope he does it. I don't like seeing records broken by cheaters.

Pujols hit 15 in April... but 18 in 21 games... uh, no. It'd be amazing to hit 10 in that time to give him 66, no small feat.

Eh, I can dream can't I?

I hate to pull for a Phillie, but like I said, I don't like cheaters winning.
