I remember watching him in the 98 Rose Bowl game. His arm strength was the real deal, but he forced a lot of throws.

At the time I just thought he was Raw and with the right coaching he could become a very good QB in the NFL. Even without the Orange Goggles however I knew he would never be Peyton.

Well 1 out of 2 aint bad.

I know I am biased but the media really gave Peyton hell the entire 97 season. IMO the only reason Woodsen won the Heisman and Ryan got the hype he got leading up to the draft was that they weren't Manning.

I think some fans take the whole ESPN hates UT thing overboard today, but it was the truth back then.
