I was watching outside the lines this morning, and they did a piece on Ryan Leaf, he was in the Heisman that year with Peyton wasn't he, Leaf drafted #1 over Manning and look who's where today. Leaf is a quarterbacks coach at west texas a*m and a golf coach making 30,000 a year, though he seems to be happy and at peace with himself. What did the chargers see in him? What was his record at Washington State? He is friends with Manning and will be cheering for him today.

I actually saw something awhile back, that he took the West Texas job, unpaid to start with.

Either way, I think Leaf was just one of those unexpected busts. Seems to be a fine pick and all, and just inexplicably does not do well in the NFL.
