Didnt this guy consider transferring to UT? He looks like a solid qb.

Yes, if we would have hired Mich QB coach instead of Clawson, he would be a Vol. With Mallet, Kiff would have us a 9 or 10 win team this year.

He would have come here if The Fired Coach had hired ex-Michigan QB coach Scot Loeffler before the '08 debacle. Ironically, Loeffler is now the QB coach at Florida.

There was some talk, but he wanted Arky from the beginning. Would have gone there from day 1 had they not just signed Mustain.

He grew up a razorback fan, did he not? I seem to recall that being talked about during the UGA/Arky game... but I was 2 sheets to the wind at that point.

That kid's got an arm.

I'm sure Clawson could have tanked that in no-time flat.

I don't know if we can really comment on Clawson's offense at this time as it appears that he did not have a quarterback to run his system or any system for that matter.

The O did not produce last year, nor is it producing this year and the only constant would be Crompton.

I didn't hear it on that game, but he says it all the time. He's from Texarkana.

He has looked very impressive this season so far. While we apparently had a chance to get him, when Petrino was named Arky head coach, he was headed there for sure.

if mallet had came to tennessee kifffin might not have got to be coach or he might have left with the coaching change so lrts just pray that our offense gets better and cromptoncan complete passes to his on teamates and we can salvage the season and make a bowl game ,maby not as well as hoped but if crompton doesnt throw 2 or 3 int a game the rest of season we will be ok and let our running game get dominate so that next year with a freshmen qb it want be as hard i know freshnen qb arnt always the 3500 yards 25 td and 6 ints, but if we can get back to the running game we had in the days of cobb, webb, garner, stewert, and others and average about 250 on ground then bray should have a good freshmen year ,but that is next season we still want them to atleast 8-5 or 9 -4 if jc can just slack up on ints and complete some timely passes

his performance, while very impressive, needs to be evaluated a little with the quality of the defenses he had played. UGA's was probably the lesser of the two, but both stunk.

Agreed, but any performance against UGA should at least considered a legit performance. But, I agree let's see how he does against Bama.

During Fulmer's speech at the Little Rock Touch Down Club, he said Mallet would of come to UT if he would of hired a couple of staff members from Michigan. He then joked, in retrospect...that may have been a better plan. LOL

With Petrino at Arky, Mallett was never going to set foot on UT in orange.
If, I remember correctly he was going to come here but found out that we going with clawless who knew less about offense! and then went arkansas. He didn't want to play in the spread thats why he left Michigan

See crap like this just P#&*@ :banghead2:me off he didn't know his offense to know that the spread crap wouldn't work. When clearly we were an NFL offense if memory serves me right didn't Peyton Manning help with installing the no-huddle offense he and Cut!
