They beat WKU and lit them up for over 400 yards net and close to 150 on the ground. They are 2-1 and one loss by one point due to a last second field goal. I know we are SEC and all that..but I hope these guys are not looking to the Georgia game and get whipped by a team that would like to make a statement. Just saying, I don't see a pushover considering how bad we are on both sides of the ball right now. :hi:

This is the definition of a cup cake game. Not nervous at all, there is a huge difference between playing a ranked team and S. Alabama. THEY HAVE NO CHANCE!

For them to win it would take quite the screw up by us.

The DLine is coming on a bit and will harrass them. Should be a comfortable win but anything can happen i guess.

They are not terrible but they arn't any better than WKU.

This game could be a tell for this staff.

2010 UT under Dooley lost big to Oregon (-35) and lost @Florida 31-17. The next week they played UAB and had to go to OT to beat them.

If 2013 UT comes out against USA and struggles against a quasi-legit opponent, this could indicate some level of problems within the team. If they come out and handily beat USA like the talent difference indicates they should it could indicate that the team isn't taking the losses to heart but are learning from them.

I can see this game as a pretty big focal point. This team has taken 2 straight on the chin.

Not at all, not this fall, or next fall, or ever at all. We are better at ball, so don't worry at all, we shall win and recruits will call, defense will score and we will stand tall, so don't sweat it at all.
We will hit them hard, will hit them all, and crush their spirit when their backs are against the wall, and we shall exit singing "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol".

Sorry, a tad too much coffee this morning and I have turned into Dr. Suess

Should be an easy win but if you look at their stats they compare very similarly. The difference of course being who we have played vs who they have played. Still though given the opportunity they can play and could make the game more interesting than some give them credit for. I hope we do not give them the opportunity.

Dude, we lost @Oregon and then @Florida the next week. This obviously means this team is horrible with horrible coaches.

We're losing to South Alabama.

Didn't you see they beat the same WKU team we beat by 32?

It's like you guys don't think it be like it is, but it do.

USA will be a test, not on the score board as much as on the lessons learned against the Ducks and Gators. Limiting the turnovers and allowing Worley to relax at QB will be the biggest tests on the field - USA has not seen the likes of Big Dan, Hood and AJ breathing down their necks nor have they seen the combination of Neal and Lane coming out of the back field.

Our DB's, Sapp and Brewer are getting better every game on the edges and will only get better with playing time against USA. The same holds true for our young receiving corps, a more relaxed Worley and more disciplined route running by the receivers can make a world of difference in how defenses line up, not cheating for the run.

If Worley can relax and connect, the OL will be much more at ease in run blocking opening up lanes and getting to the secondary blocking. This game could hold a lot of keys for the rest of the season, putting together a more complete game from many perspectives.

Sit back, relax and watch . . . Coach Jones and company working . . . our players are working . . . they are improving . . . they will win this game . . . and lay another brick for the foundation that will pay dividends for years to come!

GO VOLS!!
