Cannot argue with #1........

Check out the quote.....

Bob Gibson

Standing tall on the high pitching mounds of the 1960s, few pitchers insisted on owning the inner half of the plate the way Gibson did. In his autobiography, he wrote that he threw nine pitches: "two different fastballs, two sliders, a curve, a change-up, knockdown, brushback, and hit-batsman."

I wish Bob Gibson were still in the National League, at least when Barry Bonds comes walking up to the plate with his body armor on. He stands right on the plate, the whole right side of body encased in protective plastic, and now the pitcher has nowhere to go. If he throws inside at all, he'll hit him, and now Bonds can easily reach anything low and away. The only three options the pitcher has are to walk him, hit him, or throw it right in Bonds's wheelhouse like a chump.

Bob Gibson would have done what every pitcher in the National League should have done when Bonds first started wearing all that crap: drilled him right in the ribs.
