I think the Playoff teams will be

LSU
Ohio State
Clemson
Oklahoma

I think Alabama goes to the Orange Bowl to play Notre Dame

So--do you actually think that BAMA's 5 point loss to NUMBER 1 LSU was a worse loss than OK's loss to Kansas State?

I think OK is a feel-good program because of the "HURTS" saga.....but I definitely don't think OK is the 4th best team in the nation as of today.

I think UGA is a better overall team than OK.

Personally I think OKs win over Baylor is better than any win on Bama’s schedule and that is what should matter. JMO. My biggest issue with the committee is they seem to value close losses (see GA and Bama) more than quality wins (Bama has none).

Bottom line....without Tua, Alabama isn't one of the four best teams.

I do realize that everything posted here is SUBJECTIVE OPINION---but it's all that we have.

Baylor has ZERO quality wins on their schedule to this point!
And they went to triple overtime to beat an unranked TCU team last week.
Baylor in the SEC would have at least 2 losses in the East, 3 if they played in the West.

To wit--Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Florida, UGA are all better teams than Baylor.

OK's only quality win before Baylor was to a Texas team who may finish the season at 7-5.

So--I would argue that OK doesn't have a quality win on their schedule, too!
And they do have a very bad loss to Kansas State on their resume.

Bama may not have a quality win (until they beat Auburn)--but they played No. 1 LSU to a 5 point game--even with all of their mistakes in the game.

I think Florida, UGA, LSU, BAMA, and even AUBURN could all beat OK--they've all played tougher schedules and that's a fact!

I would argue for a 1 loss Oregon or Utah to get the 4th place in the playoff over OK---based on strength of schedule alone.

I still think that a team that doesn't even win its half of the conference should not be in a 4 game playoff. In an 8 game playoff, I can see it.

I agree. Bama had their chances and couldn’t finish the deal this year. Bama is without thei starting QB so it may not matter anyway. Even if they somehow find a way to win at Auburn I’m taking a one loss Oregon, one loss Oklahoma or even a one loss Utah over the Tide.

Not disagreeing but why PAC 12 over Big 12?

I agree with 3 of these 4. Until Bama is officially left out I see it as...
1 LSU
2 Ohio State
3 Clemson
4 Bama

If somehow UGA wins SECCG...
1 Ohio State
2 Clemson
3 UGA
4 LSU

Cause the Pac 12 is ahead of the Big 12 in the CFP rankings. If oregon or Utah wins out (which seems likely) and the PAC 12 championship game, there's no way the Big 12 will jump them.

Forget about who wins what. Who are the best four teams as of today going forward:

LSU, Ohio State, Clemson are the best three....no doubt.

If Georgia beats LSU, then I think both of them are in the best four.

If Penn State beats Ohio State, then both of them may be top-4.

Not sure Oregon is in the mix.

The others have to play their way to see who is # 5.

Without Tua, it is not Alabama.

How crazy it could be that even if you win the fact your starting QB is out would keep a team out. Even though it is the communist regime of St Nick

Saying it twice doesn’t make it any less ignorant.
There was absolutely no reason for Tua to be playing. He clearly wasn't right against LSU. They could have put in their back up, and had him hand the ball off fifty times, and still would have beat State soundly. He was a projected top five pick, but it was more important for Satan to get his veteran Natty winning qb some 2 min drill work ?! GTFOH.

So if the current format was in place in 96 the Vols would not be in "the best 4 teams"?

I have watched a little Big-10, but nothing toward the west.

Who is the best team between Utah, Oregon, or Oklahoma?

Sooners?

Hard to say.

Oregon and Utah will sort itself out.

OU has looked really good and really average at times.

Ok, I'm going to leave all three of them out. Oregon and Utah just don't have a high quality win.

Oklahoma is out because they are too up and down.

Plus, Bama without Tua is out.

And, everyone with 2 or more losses is out.

If Penn State beats Ohio State, I will take both of those.
If UGA beats LSU, I will take both of those.
And we need Clemson to defend their Title Belt.
If both Penn State and Georgia win, I'm taking UGA.

I don't care that that group had one bad day early or mid-season.

If a 1 loss UGA beats an undefeated LSU in Atl they both get in with more than likely OSU and Clemson.

Oregon and Utah will play and the winner will have a "quality" win. I dont think either is better than UGA with 2 Ls but UGA isnt getting in with 2 Ls.

Theres a better chance UGA beats LSU than PSU (who only has 1 good win themselves) winning at the horseshoe.
