Saban should have stuck with Hurts!!

Obviously you're not even reading my posts, as I was very clearly disturbed by the fact that a doctor drilled holes in his bones for a damned ankle sprain.

It would kinda hard to let a doc do that without, you know, seeing a doctor.

Actually you said Saban did it, but I think we knew what you meant. It's still a bad comparison, as you're comparing a check on the sideline to some of the best surgeons in the world performing a procedure and making an expert determination as to his status.

Unless your argument is that you know better than the Andrews team.

Then you have no point with the post I quoted.

Let's try this.
Saban is not a Dr. We agree he saw a Dr and a Dr advised this and carried it out. Tua rehabbed and was then cleared to play.

What does Saban or any other coach have to do with that decision?

I would compare this guys knowledge to be more in line with the janitors at St. Vincent than those of the doctors there.

Saban decided to play him, not the docs.

And no, he didn't 'rehab'. They drilled holes in his bones and inserted friggin wires. For an ankle sprain.

He didn't 'heal'. He never 'rehabbed'.

Saban decided to play him, not the docs.

So Saban, whose job it is to win football games, should have ignored the doctor, whose job it is to repair and heal injuries, when the doctor cleared Tua to play?

You can't seem to decide if this was Saban's fault or the surgeons'. Neither position is terribly relevant since Tua didn't reinjure the repaired ankle.

Your sentence structure needs work, but again, we all knew what you ment.
Yup, all you have left in defense of your scum coach is some kind of remark about 'sentence structure'.

By the way, you misspelled 'meant'. And you have a grammatical error with your commas, 'writer'. I mean, as long as we're talking about sentence structure.

Go brush your last remaining tooth, Gump.

Your run is coming to an end.

There is absolutely no comparison between our QB situation and Alabama's QB situation.
Vols situation with JG and everyone wanting the young guys to play now is very similar to what the VOLS WENT THROUGH 2013-2014 WITH PETERMAN, WORLEY, AND DOBBS. Think it would be suicide to run JG off and put our faith in the young unproven QBs. Senior leadership with lots of snaps under your belt will always be your best bet to win unless the talent is clearly different and the younger player is on a different level than everyone else. QB room will be a plus if CJP can get them all to stay as well as add Bailey.
Fixed it for you.
I am not trying to disparage JG at all, but I think the only way he transfers is if he takes really bad advice and believes he has a shot at the NFL.
I believe Jalen Hurts transferred because he took really good advice and believes he has a shot at the NFL.

Here's some fun stats to play with.
Dobbs 2013
5 games (4 started)
72-of-121 passes for 695 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions and also rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown in his true freshman season

Brian Maurer 2019
6 games (4 started)
31-74 passes for 524 yards with 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions and also rushed 22 times for 48 yards with 2 TD's so far in his true freshman season.

I think we may need both Brian Maurer and JG next year.
It's unrealistic, regardless of the next 3 games, to think JG has put it all together and will play at a high level all next season.

I hope Pruitt doesn't announce the 2020 starter until kickoff the 1st game.

It was a weird accident that could happen on play one. The ankle didn't cause or contribute to it. I think we lost a qb on the first series starting a season once? Saban isn't to blame. Hind sight and a hatred of Saban maybe tilting many orange tinted glasses?

Nice try comparing a typo to a completely botched statement, which you made more than once.

But I'm proud of you for taking so long to reach the last resort of the failed argument.

I have no problem with him not taking a starter out before halftime of a blowout. Tua's hip injury was just a freak accident.

But what they did to him to rush him into the LSU game was a travesty, and on Saban.

You brought up sentence structure, not me. You're the one who reached the last resort of the failed argument, not me.

Maybe you should learn to write before lecturing your betters on the proper use of the written word.

Now, go brush that tooth.

Never understood the irrational haters wanting JG to transfer at season's end. I don't see that happening. He's not a quitter. Nothing good would come from it if he did. Lots of QB options and plenty of competition there is exactly what we need. Coaches will play the best QB.. ..just like they have done for every game this year.

After how much faith Pruitt has put into JG, gone to bat with him so many times. I just don't see JG transferring.

Well, you know more about surgery than those who get paid to perform surgery, so it's not terribly surprising that you know more about the written word than those who get paid to write.

I get paid to write. I'd guess a lot more than you get paid, considering your atrocious usage of the comma.

Hell, you've probably read my work. But I doubt I've read any of your work (other than the ridiculous crap you spew around here).

I'll stick with my typos and poor comma usage over indicating, more than once, that a coach performed surgery a player and then getting bent out of shape when multiple posters point it out. We all knew what you meant, it just read funny. You're better off just acknowledging your error, but it's clearly more important to dig in to try and win an argument on the internet.

I actually think we are much better off at the QB position than Alabama next year, especially if JG stays. My point is, Alabama would be much better off had Hurts stayed their starting QB with Tua waiting his turn. Today's entitled athletes and impatient fans have hurt the game I feel, nothing wrong with sitting the bench a few years and developing that way. I don't have a problem with playing the younger player if he's clearly better (Henry T and Morris are 2 good examples), I just feel that at the most critical position on the field it's better to develop the Steve Young way over playing young QBs that are not ready. As for Dobbs, I always thought he was the best QB on campus the day he arrived, we were lucky to get him considering how bad our QB room was his Fr year.

What is it about any of Tua's performances that has indicated that he "wasn't ready"?

I didn't say he wasn't ready, I said he should have waited his turn. Bama would have been better off and Tua would have been better off. The only person that benefitted running Hurts off for Tua was Hurts. Young sat behind Montana and it worked out pretty good for both of them as well as the 49ers.

So you tell me he didnt rehab but then link a video that explains and shows him rehabbing after the first surgery.

You didnt have a point before, was this a concession?

You dont have a travesty unless Tua proclaims he was forced or pushed to play against his will when he didnt think he was ready. Which would also mean the medical staff didnt think he was either if he had made that known. And even then, Tua doesnt have to play and his family would have back that idea.

Outside that you have a Dr that had performed this procedure before for the same player. A successful surgery and rehab, a clean bill of healthy by Drs, a QB that participated in practice and a coach that played him.

My issue with the whole thing is Tua wanted to come out, the on field announcer even said he was thanking the team as such on the previous drive. Saban wanted him back in and Tua got injured, saban didnt even go out on the field for several minutes when Tua was down.

saban is a twat spin it however you want, 35-7 with a gimpy QB he should not have been in; he now has to live with a stupid decision much like the stupid decision of trying a 60 yd field goal against auburn.
