I understand Bama's admin hired Saban for long term results but a percentage of the fans expected a NC, another percentage expected SEC Chamionship, and the smallest most realistic expected a better season this year than Shula had in 2006. Saban did not achieve any of these results and lost to Auburn. I think it is hilarious to watch the Bama fans "back-peddle" now. :post-4-1090547912:

Personally, I thought Saban would do better than Schula. This has got to be a big kick in the pants for Bama fans and a season down the drain!!!!!!!!:flush:

I think he will make a big impact at bammer and will probably have them in contention before much longer but I have to say that ULM loss was a real stinker and unacceptable anywhere in the SEC. Thats one he cannot blame on talent and it had to have made the bama fans mad because I'm still laughing about it. :p With that being said though, it makes the UT loss in T-Town that much more difficult.:pinch:

Don Shula may be fretting about the Dolphin record coming down, but he has to have a grin on his face about what has happened in Bama.

Papa Shula probably would've been the first one in line to fire Saban if Nick had stayed in Miami. Obviously, I think Miami would be about where they are now no matter who the hfc is. If your players suck you can't expect to win much. Therefore, I give Saban all the credit in the world for knowing which way the wind was blowing and making a move before his bacon got caught in the frying pan. Not only is he bilking the Tide for $3.5 million a year, but he will not be painted with the brush of commanding the Dolphins to a winless season. The guy is savvy.

In the same year the Pats may go undefeated, the Dolphins may go winless. Ironic...

I dont think either will happen. The phins have been too close. Lost 6 games by 3 points. And the Pats, I am still thinking the Steelers or Giants will pull one out on them....or maybe the Ravens if they play them good next monday night..
