Nick Saban had a new contract approved Tuesday.

Saban will be under contract through the 2029 season, adding one year to his last deal. He will make $10.7 million in Year 1 of the deal and $12.7 million in the final year.

In all, the contract is worth $93.6 million and covers the following eight football seasons. Saban will be 78 when this deal expires.

It includes completion bonuses for only the first four years of the eight years it covers. Saban is due to be paid an additional $800,000 for completing the 2022-2025 seasons.

Yeah, that was pretty funny and certainly disarms the caller(s). I can see him coaching 2-3 more years, maybe. He’s earned the right there to make that call on his own. I wanna beat them so bad, but Saban is the goat. Nobody has ever seen a coach do what he’s done at the college level.

Meh, while I detest all things Bama and therefore dislike Saban-the man has earned the right by this point to get a bit of grace.

Tide fans think they are going to simply change coaches and then win another 5:6 NCs in a decade they are even .ore deluded than I think they are.

Within 4 years of Saban retiring, Bama will already be on their second coach of the post-Nick era. Nobody is going to be able to make them happy. It's going to glorious to watch them implode.
