Thread title summed it up perfectly. Reminded me that at one time NASCAR was worth watching. I miss the old school Havoline colors...

Kulwicki was a mechanical genius, he worked on his own car, he owned his own team and won the championship as owner/driver which will probably never happen again. (I'm not counting on Robby Gordon winning a championship anytime soon) Davey Allison could flat out drive a race car and would have probably won several championships if he had lived. Their deaths really hurt Ford as they lost two of their top stars. I could only imagine those guys and Earnhardt being alive now. I miss them all. Thanks for the thread, the video was great. :good!:

My uncle just saw it, and the water works started trickling.

Tell me about it, man. Back when the races were fun to watch. I've become dissallusioned lately, it only makes me appreciate the childhood memories more, every time i watch.

Oh, the good ole days of NASCAR during the 70's and 80's. The WINSTON CUP! The Allisons, Pearson, King Richard, Waltrip, Buddy Baker, Fireball Roberts, Kulwicki and so many others. I've got a book on NASCAR when it was back in the 40's and as many as 100 cars raced on the sand at Daytona.
