Yeah, we need more discipline problems. Recruiting behavior problems should be priority 1.

You play at the University of Tennessee you are expected to be held at a higher standard. You don't do things like he did. UT is supposed to be an example of a great school that has great standards for success as a student athlete.

The school announced on Monday morning that the former standout at St. Thomas Aquinas had been dismissed from the football team after “multiple violations of team rules and a failure on his part to meet the clear expectations established to be a part of the Miami football program,” according to a statement issued by the school.

“We wish Sam well with his future academic and football endeavors,” the statement continued.

Bruce was expected to redshirt this season after suffering a serious non-football injury last month. A source told the Sun Sentinel at the time the receiver broke his leg.

That injury played a role in Bruce's dismissal, with a source saying the receiver has missed scheduled treatment sessions. Bruce has also been late for study hall, compounding some of his disciplinary issues.

Those issues began earlier this year when Bruce was suspended for the first three games of the season. While the school said only then that Bruce was suspended for violating an undisclosed team rule, the receiver was forced to leave St. Thomas in February after a photo surfaced of him allegedly holding a gun.

That being said, I expect his transfer paperwork to go through by mid November.

Didn't go to rehab for an injury, skips study sessions and has other "disciplinary issues" . What could go wrong?

Evidently a picture of him surfaced in high school of him holding a gun and he was suspended. Whatever has the world come to?

Kid needs a place like a Tennessee to get him out of the cycle he's living. I am not saying bring him here but get him out of Miami before he becomes another statistic.

I know nothing about this kid, but I think the days of us taking risks on players with baggage are behind us (at least for the time being).

Why take on a guy who has already had THREE strikes and struck out. Don't bring in a known problem. I don't care if he is the best player there is.
