Now we have to beat Ga and then havta pull for Ga to beat Fla, seems like this has happened before:crazy:

if you're talking about winning the east, we don't even have to beat lsu. we have to win out in the east and hope florida loses twice. i don't see that happening. the SEC is over. it's quite a shame; i thought this team had in in them.

i see tennessee beating georgia and bama but not lsu. chavis needs to get his squad in gear. the offense needs to get a bit more polished and the running game ABSOLUTELY SUCKS.

now we all know why we crushed cal...they were simply overrated. we really aren't that great. it takes a big game to figure that out.

Sorry newbie but that's not the way conferences work. If we lose to LSU or ANY SEC team whether they're in the SEC East or the SEC West, then Florida would have to lose 3 conference games for us to beat them in the SEC East standings.

Georgia IS special, my friend. Two shutouts in a row. Frosh QB getting better and better and three (count them) quality RB's in Ware, Brown and Lumpkins. They will beat Florida. We will have to improve our running game to beat them. And we might just do that!!

UGA runs the ball well and plays great defense. They're not in good shape at the QB position.

The Vols aren't out of the SEC race. They need to make some corrections and get a running game going. I'm sick over this loss... partly because I hate UF more than any team in college football and partly because I love the character of this UT team. I hate to see kids that have made this kind of effort to get things turned around lose like that.

and after tonight's performance, that doesn't seem likely, at least in the short term. it seems like the entire blocking scheme needs an overhaul on top of the overhaul it's probably already gotten under cutcliffe. as you say, georgia plays great defense, and they are our next big opponent...

How can you say that Cal was THAT overrated? They beat a good Minnesota team last week like a drum. It isn't like we got annihilated by UF like say ND did by Michigan or Miami did by Louisville. :wacko:

i can say that cal was THAT overrated because we crushed them, almost lost to air force, and then lose to florida at home in a game that we really shouldn't have had a chance in (anyone seen our rushing yards?).

The loss to Florida means they have a 2 game lead in the East. In other words Florida has to lose twice to make up for this loss due to the head to head tie breaker.

Except in the possibility of a three way, one loss tie between UT, UF, and UGA. That sorta happened before in '01. I can't remember what the tiebreak was that gave it to us... we lost to UGA, UGA lost to UF, and UF lost to us...

After watching the LSU/Auburn game today, I like Florida's chances to lose to both of them this year. The Georgia game is a toss-up as well for the Gators.

to be honest, at this juncture, i don't even care about our status in the east. losing to florida under any circumstances makes me sick. :puke5:

I agree with that assesment 100%. But when the sun comes up in the morning we have to realize there is hope left for the future, although we have to get some help from other quarters... :mega_shok:

Fulmer since the NC has been a letdown. I know we cant win the NC or SEC every year but I'd like to see us be more consistent. I just keep thinking about Fulmer's record against the best in the SEC and it's not good. And now, he's 0-2 against the cryer.

yep. only 1 sec championship appearance since 1998 right? and that was a loss.
