Look at the D.
Same performance as in every game.

Look at QB. Locks in on a receiver and throws, no matter what. And he's throwing deep. Worley has success with the short passes. Except for one ......

This team has given up.

Bray has looked and locked onto recievers since he has been here....he had CP wide open for a TD just a few yards away but locked in on Pig who was double covered and just about got decapitated. He shouldn't start next saturday IMO.

When Bray was a recruit there were concerns about his "toughness." He was a lanky - almost skinny - kid with an arm. He is still a lanky kid with a good arm. He's nothing more, nothing less. However, he doesn't play defense and putting the blame on him for this season is just wrong.

Hmmm....which thread to put this one in since VN has gone in complete spaz mode. VN always has at least 2 pages of threads all about the exact same thing so I decided to put my opinions in the first thread that was somewhat on topic.

Here are my thoughts as a long time Vol fan:

1. I do not believe the team gave up on CDD. If so, the lot should be ashamed of themselves. I am, and have been, ready for a coaching change and I certainly share everyone's frustrations about the losing. I would like to believe the team shares the same desire to get a win or two before the end of the season just for prides sake. Suggesting the team threw the game because of the coach is absurd. I never saw anything on the field that looked like giving up. I saw a lot of mediocrity and bad play calling...but nothing to suggest they were going to lose intentionally.

2. I am disappointed that I have not seen CDD, or any coach for that matter, get up in the grill of CP for his showboating. I am not debating on whether it is ridiculous or not. My point is that it is a rule and the freakin team should know it. CP, for one, does know it because he has already been called on it. High stepping, strutting around, and showing the ball to a receiver before going into the end zone should not be tolerated. I believe Gruden, or any other decent ball coach, would go absolutely ballistic after seeing that in two straight games. Show some freakin class and run the ball in the end zone. We really have nothing to be showboating about while other teams who are something spectacular don't showboat like that. It's ultimately a coaching failure to show that crap is not going to be tolerated.

3. I was for Bray being benched....not for his interception but for his attitude. This goes along with what I said above. ESPN took the time to replay Bray after his touchdown pass where he was staring down and taunting the Vandy sideline. This is not what I want to see a UT QB, or any other player for that matter, doing. Hopefully, Bray can mature a bit and come back next year and do himself some good for his chances of making into the NFL. If not, he can go on and declare himself eligible for the next draft. He probably won't be able to hack the next coach anyway because he's apparently been able to do whatever he wants under CDD. Oh, and Bray spraying water on a fan? He should be disciplined for that regardless of who the fan supported. When I first read the tweet, I assumed it was a Vol fan that he did it to because of how poor his game and attitude was.

I am one that wanted UT to win regardless of whether it would put CDD out earlier. I don't root for other teams over the Vols....ever. I don't care if we are winless. I am a Vol fan. I am sick of losing and hopefully this new coach (whoever it is) will be able to turn things around. If we are going to lose though, I would rather us look less like freakin idiots and punks. My social media feeds were blowing up with people (unbiased non-Vol fans) saying they hoped we lose because of CP and Bray's attitudes. If we are going to lose I would rather us do it with some class and not make it to where even the unbiased football fan wants to see us lose because of the garbage.

Well? Didn't you read the paper this week. Sunseri told us "nothing would change." He was right.

I don't put the season on Bray, I put it on the defense. But Bray has not been a bright spot, and has definitely been outplayed by the opposing quarterback in every single SEC game we've played. Especially last night.
