Why not $100/hour?

Racist, IMO. Everybody who knows economics knows minimum wage disproportionately hurts young black males.

And then they will b*tch about the price of movie tickets going up and blame the evil corps (to use your movie example)

Why don't they just agree to pay minimum wage people the same as a doctor's salary? See how well that works out.

Hobby Lobby didn't need a mandate to pay its workers a fair wage... is this proof that the private sector is capable of treating people fairly without burdensome regulations?

define fair wage?

A wage, plus all the extras, that results in the company getting more value out of the employee than the company gives to the employee. Not just more value, but value that exceeds the minimum ROI that the shareholders/owner wants.

If a company sets its price too low, then it will be unable to hire employees.

A fair wage is one where everyone in the company makes the same. Even the work the janitor does is indispensable. All CEOs do is push papers and talk a lot while their employees do all the real work.

(better?)

Cali is outrageous as far as cost of living. Minimum wage should be based on state to state imo.

Minimum wage should be based on what pay an employee and employer negotiate. Then, the minimum the employee should get paid is the agreed upon amount.

No idea. I know my ex's aunt sold a 50 year old cracker box house for close to 300k and moved to Mo and paid cash for a house 2 times bigger for less than 100k
