Not surprised. he made a strong comeback after losing his senate seat, but losing the pennsylvania primary could have been pretty damaging in the long haul.

Question is, will he hide behind his sick little girl as the reason or man up and admit defeat.

This guy is trash, nobody really liked him who I talked to, no wonder he lost Pennsylvania..

I read his daughter just got out of the hospital. She has such a poor prognosis and he really had no gas left in the tank, I think. He has probably decided to spend time with family. I can respect that.

Well, this relieves me a little bit. 'ol Rick was worst case scenario. Now worst case scenario (and undoubtedly the final outcome) is more of the same.

I don't think many believed Santorum could actually pull it off. At least it will shut up the internal Romney naysayers, like Palin.

Wait, did I just say Palin would shut up? Obviously, I've been drinking.

Romney was about to unleash a massive ad campaign aimed at RS. I am glad MR gets to save that money for you know who.

No amount of post-nomination handshaking can cure what really ails the GOP this time 'round, which is a mediocre candidate who does not inspire anyone about anything.

The safe candidate got the nod. Now, time for a nap.

if it'll keep you from posting inane threads about the current state of the GOP, I'm all for it

FWIW, George HW Bush was polling ahead of Reagan in April of 1980.
