Sarah Palin Uses PAC to Buy Her Own Book - ABC News

Sarah Palin's Political Action Committee Paid More than $60,000 for Copies of 'Going Rogue' in Late 2009

Sarah Palin has been using her political action committee to buy up thousands of copies of her book, "Going Rogue," in order to mail copies of the memoir to her donors, newly filed campaign records show.

What are your thoughts? Is this acceptable?

As long as they've checked on every other politician...

Campaigns and PAC's often reward donors with 'incentives' like this. Not saying this is right or wrong but this happens frequently.

Sure seems to be causing a stir for such irrelevance.

And that line...it's what Hillary said about some rookie from Chicago.

... Why wouldn't this be acceptable? Who cares? You're telling me donors didn't get a copy of "Living History" with Hillary?

I'd feel crappy if that's what I got for contributing but i guess there's nothing wrong with it. Has about as much value as receiving a "totebag" for contributing to Public Broadcasting.

My issue with it is that she (presumably) gets royalties for every copy of the book that's sold. So in effect, she's using money donated to her PAC to buy her own product and make money from it.
