So, I just bought a house, and no one provides internet.....no one. Comcast, u verse, charter no luck. Looks like I can go with either wild blue or hughesnet. Anyone ever use either? Prices seem to be similar.

You can also buy a hot spot from your cell provider. If 4g LTE is available in your area, it will probably be about as fast as satellite based DSL.

Verizon has 4g LTE where I am at. How would netflix or HBO GO be off of that?

I think satellite is around $50 per month. Do they limit the amount of data? I assumed it was unlimited.

Not unlimited.... For 50 a month you get up to 10 mbps up and 1 mbps down...... And capped at 20GB a month.

119 gets you a whopping 40GB a month

My parents have Hughes net. The speed is decent but not great. They have a data limit though which kind of sucks.

We used to have HughesNet. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody considering how slow it was and after you went over your cap it was slowed down even more. We now use AT&T LTE and it's on level with cable and DSL

If Sprint is a thing in your area that works well, I'd get a LTE hotspot from them.

I haven't heard anything good about sprint in this area, but never had it myself. I'm going to look in to Verizon hotspot next week before I start dropping 100 a month.
