G'Town-Memphis=Georgetown. The Hoyas are more settled into who they are. Memphis is still finding themselves.
Tennessee-Xavier=Tennessee, tepidly. I just think they're a little too good for X. However, I wouldn't consider a Musketeer win much of an upset.
Texas-Michigan State=MSU. The Spartans will parlay the quasi homecourt advantage into a big RPI win.
Stanford-Texas Tech. Stanford. Tech has absolutely no inside game.
Clemson-Ole Miss. Clemson. The Tigers have a huge experience advantage. That'll be the difference on a neutral floor.
Missouri-Illinois=Missouri. Illinois' guards can't handle Mizzou's pressure.

so i blew the memphis pick. They finally played well together and were clicking after about midway through the first. They can only improve.

I just now got in from the Memphis game and i would have to say that was a hell of a game. Im glad to see CDR is back in his game now. Rose looked good also. It was a good day.

Whew, what a day of hoops. Just enough time to catch my breath before watching St. Mary's v. Ohio in the Rainbow Classic final.

Hatvol in your opinion is there any chance Kevin Love ends up being a better pro than Greg Oden?

After what all's transpired today what do you think of the SEC? I know its down, but how many bids do you think it will get. I'm putting you on the spot with a tough question especially since they haven't played a conference game yet. It looks like I was wrong about UGA getting in this year with the problems they've had.

Right now, I think the SEC is a four bid league. My gut says somebody will jump up and earn a fifth, but I can't say who that would be. Most likely, either Kentucky suddenly rights the ship or Alabama's young guards grow up in a hurry. I just see nothing at this point that indicates Mississippi State is going to get their act together.

i think it's going to be them or Indiana in the Big 10.

who are MSU's 3 losses?
Since the Big 10 plays that bizarre unbalanced schedule, I'm not sure they play at all these teams but they could lose at Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, and possibly Purdue. Any home losses or a road loss to anyone other than the teams I mentioned would shock me. I can't see them losing all four of those road games, so 13-3 is about the base I see them accomplishing. 15-1 or 14-2 wouldn't suprise me at all.

I'm going to predict that only 4 get in. I think there will be enough parity (like last year in the West) to keep a 5th team from building an NCAA resume, especially given the bad resumes that most of the teams will bring into SEC play. I don't remember when/if the SEC has gotten fewer than 4 teams in since the field was expanded to 64 teams.
