Georgia Tech - Starting QB Reggie Ball (illness) missed last game and was hospitalized but returned to practice on Tuesday and is probabe vs Virginia Tech, although his playing time could be limited. Starting DE Eric Henderson (ankle) missed last game and remains questionable. Henderson was a 1st team all ACC selection last year.
Virginia Tech - Starting offensive lineman Reggie Butler (knee) will miss 2-4 weeks.
Penn State - Projected starting LB Dan O'Connor (disciplinary) may see his first action of the season this week at Northwestern. O'Connor was the teams second leading tackler as a freshman but has not played yet this year due to off the field situation.
Illinois - Teams leading returning tackler, SS Justin Harrison (hip) has not played a game this season and remains doubtful Saturday vs Michigan State.
Boston College - Starting QB Quinton Porter (ankle) practiced on a very limited basis for the first time Thursday. Backup Matt Ryan still got the majority of snaps. Porter is officially listed as doubtful to play Saturday but could be a gametime decision or emergency backup.
Louisville - Starting WR Broderick Clark (knee) was injured last game and will miss 3-4 weeks.
South Florida - Starting FS Danny Verpaele (foot) has not played yet this season and remains doubtful vs Louisville. Verpaele was 4th on the team in tackles as a freshman last year.
TCU - Starting safety Eric Buchanan (knee) is expected to miss Saturday vs BYU. Buchanan ranks tied for 5th on the team in tackles.
West Virginia - Starting LB Jay Henry, the teams leading tackler, is doubtful Saturday vs East Carolina.
Arkansas - Already without projected offensive line starter Zac Tubbs (ankle), the Razorbacks will be without another starter Jonathan Luigs (ankle) vs Alabama. Starting LB Pierre Brown (knee) missed last game and is doubtful Saturday. Brown is a senior team captain who was second on the team in tackles a year ago. Starting senior CB Darius Vincent missed last game and also is doubtful vs Bama.
Alabama - Opening day starting offensive lineman Mark Sanders (knee) has missed last two games and remains doubtful Saturday vs Arkansas.
Kentucky - Starting CB Bo Smith (shoulder) is doubtful Saturday. Smith ranks third on the team in tackles thus far. Smith is the only key new injury but the Wildcats are already without WR Glenn Holt, WR Tommy Cook, WR Keenan Burton, DT Lamar Mills, FS Marcus McClinton, among several other key players who are banged up.
