I can't believe the New York Post headline. Having "Blind Rage" as part of the headline of a story about mocking blind people? Just saying, seems intentionally injecting one's self into the story. I am no journalist, but...

You must not be too familiar with the Post

The best things that have come out of SNL in recent years have been the SNL Digital Shorts. I'll admit that some of them are just awful, but every now and then they knock one out of the park. Lazy Sunday was great, and so was D*** in a Box. They had another song on last week that I'm not even going to post the title of out of fear of violating the rules, and it was pretty good too. I had no idea they could say that on TV.

There are funny skits occasionally. The overall show is still pretty weak. No one on the cast appears bound for stardom, either. The black dude from Nickelodeon is awful.

PATERSON IN A BLIND RAGE OVER 'SNL' SKIT - New York Post

I was channel surfing Saturday night and decided to see how bad things were on SNL. Weekend Update was just starting. I must say the Paterson skit was hilarious and is being made even more so by all the spittle-flecked rage being directed at NBC by advocates for the disabled and the governor himself.

I watched bits and pieces of that show, I didn't see that part of it but caught two segments that lampooned the governor of Illinois. That was too funny, my favorite person on the show is leaving, the blond who does the news segment.

About ten years ago I was down in New Orleans and an old friend who had spent most of his life down there came by my hotel to escort us out for the evening.

After leaving our room and standing by the elevator door waiting to go down to the lobby, I suddenly realized it was going to be an interesting evening when the door opened and out rushed a CBS news crew, complete with camera and sound equipment.

After dinner we were strolling around the quarter and as we passed a hotel my friend explained there was SNL cast party at the hotel we were walking past.

They were up on about the sixth floor, all dressed out and holding a cocktail party. They had a long balcony and waved down at us and my friend yelled back up with some not so nice uncompliments.

They were all smiling and waving until one of them leaned over the rail, cupped his ear and said; "Whaaaat?"

My friend yelled up; "You're a bunch of chicken ...t cowards, scared to come down on the street!!!"

The guy on the balcony turned to his friends at the rail and said something, their expressions all changed and they turned and filtered back inside.

I'm inclined to agree with my friend and don't think much of their stuff is funny either. Of course they come up with some good stuff sometimes, after all it's supposed to be a comedy show.
