"These jobs doing yard work - no one wants to do them."

That guy is fooling himself...

I used to do yard work as a kid and I do my own yard today, and enjoy it. Heck if one of my elderly neighbors asked me to mow their yard for 20 bucks, I would do it

i very much doubt enough illegals will leave to stop there being ample yardwork help

$10 an hour for yard work? I used to get $6.5 for golf course maintenance in the 90's

Heck, Fedex Loading dock in Knoxville paid $8 and that was hard work, much harder than yard work

I once made $16/hr loading trailers at Yellow Freight...part time. I don't know if it will cover the lung cancer I get from all the black dust when I'm 60, but it was sweet at the time.

I like this line:

Some school districts that serve large immigrant neighborhoods already have seen sharp drops in enrollment. That could save the state money but hurt individual schools because every student equates to $4,404 in per-pupil state funding.

If you have less students at your screwl, then you need less teachers, have fewer operating expenses such as feeding the kids, busing the kids, ect. I'm sure that if a screwl has to let a few teachers go, because enrollment decreases the libs will be pointing and screaming how this bill cost people jobs.

The criticism in the article is akin to a guy renting boats for murderers to throw away their saws, hatchets, and guns into the bottom of the river. A city passes a law against killing people, the murderers move over to the next town, and you complain how the new law is costing you business.
