This is very good. This guy had done really well at SC. This AD will have to decide who will replace Spurrier which will make or break their football program.

Let's hope they hire Mike Hamilton.:lolabove:

Considering wagon put first wheel on with Spurrier. I would for all intensive purposes say Cocks football is still broken.

Hyman's replacement could be Ray Tanner. He wants the job, but will depend on if he's ready to give up coaching and if obviously the BoT wants to go that direction.

He's wanted it for years, and it caused a lot of friction between he and Hyman. He's a great coach and an Carolina legend, but that would be a total disaster unless he brought in some people with high-level experience to be his deputies.

Doug Dickey, imo

With the basketball program currently in the basement, and the football program currently a contender, Doug Dickey would feel right at home. I wonder if he would sell Clemson gear at home basketball games vs Clemson.

I just hope we make the right hire. I fear that our football program will slip when Spurrier retires.

Legit concerns...the person you hire will be charged to replace Spurrier, which will be an enormous responsibility and be the key to your program having staying power.

Exactly. I think we have enough momentum to stay out of the toilet, but it is very important that this new AD, be it Tanner or whoever, makes the right hire after Spurrier. The wrong hire could damn us.

Yea, you can see how a national brand like Tennessee, a program in top 10 wins all time with 6 national titles can disapate after a few losing seasons. All the equity SC has built the past 3 years would go away very quickly with a losing season or two post Spurrier.
